The Clinical Director of the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) and Office Based Labs (OBL) is responsible for leading the procedure teams and ensuring the highest standards of patient care across multiple ASCs and OBLs in Texas. This role will be the clinical authority on accreditation standards and compliance, ensuring adherence to AAAHC and/or Joint Commission standards. The Clinical Director will work closely with onsite Operations leaders to maintain clinical excellence, oversee policy and procedure development, and lead accreditation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary clinical authority on accreditation standards for all ASCs and OBLs.
- Collaborate with onsite ASC leadership to maintain compliance with AAAHC and/or Joint Commission standards.
- Lead and organize board meetings to discuss clinical performance and accreditation requirements.
- Develop, review, and implement clinical policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Participate in and guide ASCs through accreditation surveys, ensuring successful outcomes.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of accreditation standards, leading efforts to continuously improve clinical performance.
- Provide oversight of clinical activities within the OR environment, ensuring best practices and patient safety.
- Mentor and support onsite leaders in achieving clinical goals and maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Serve as a liaison between ASC leadership and other stakeholders, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
Quality and Compliance Responsibilities:
- Lead investigations into near-miss and actual events, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor and ensure that all clinical staff maintain up-to-date competencies, licenses, and certifications.
- Ensure that each facility maintains rigorous educational standards, providing ongoing training and competency assessments for clinical staff.
- Oversee the implementation of safety drills and emergency preparedness activities, ensuring all staff are trained and confident in response protocols.
- Analyze incident reports and data to identify trends, develop action plans, and ensure a culture of continuous improvement in patient safety and care quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- 3-5 years of experience in Ambulatory Surgery Centers.
- Demonstrated experience in one or all the following Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, OR environment.
- Proven experience with AAAHC and/or Joint Commission standards.
- Previous Participation in multiple accreditation surveys is required.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration is a plus.
- Experience with multi-site management is preferred.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
