ROLE SUMMARY:
PPJV is looking for a Compliance Manager to join the Finance and Compliance team to lead compliance activities for the organization. You will work across the organization to assess, implement, and monitor compliance programs and initiatives. The candidate brings experience working in financial services and deep familiarity with regulatory and industry standards including PCI, SOC, OSFI (specifically B-10 and B-13), and privacy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the PPJV complies with all current and emerging relevant regulations. Support our credit union clients in meeting their regulatory reporting requirements
- Policy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and update compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks, irregularities, violations, and areas for improvement
- Monitoring and Reporting: Establish monitoring systems to track compliance with regulatory standards, prepare compliance reports, respond to complaints, and provide recommendations for corrective actions. Including staying abreast of compliance related industry developments as well as proposed and new regulations related to banking and FinTech's
- Due Diligence: Lead the due diligence efforts for prospective and current clients
- Training: Develop and deliver compliance training programs to educate employees on compliance matters, best practices, reporting process, and changes in regulations
- Audit Support: Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits, liaising with auditors, and ensuring the timely resolution of audit findings
- Documentation Management: Maintain a comprehensive record of compliance-related documentation and ensure its accuracy and accessibility
- Data Protection: Implement and manage data protection measures to safeguard sensitive information in compliance with PCI DSS requirements
- Vendor Compliance: Assess and monitor third-party vendors' compliance with relevant regulations, ensuring they meet PPJV standards
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with senior management, department heads, and relevant stakeholders to provide compliance updates and recommendations
EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in compliance, with a strong focus on developing and implementing compliance policies
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant regulations and a proven track record of successfully managing compliance in a complex business environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong organizational and project management skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance, documenting complaints and advanced reporting skills
