Basic Function

The Product Manager (Water Well Products) will oversee the complete lifecycle of our water well product lines, focusing on both PVC and steel products. You will be responsible for optimizing the product portfolio, identifying growth opportunities, and driving innovation within the water well market. Responsibilities include conducting market research, generating product requirements, determining specifications, managing production timelines, setting pricing strategies, and developing integrated plans for product introduction and market penetration. You will play a key role in formulating marketing strategies and ensuring our products meet customer needs while maximizing revenue and profitability. Collaboration across various departments-including brand marketing, IT, engineering, procurement, and customer service-is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage Product Lifecycle: Oversee all stages of the water well product lines, from conception to launch and post-launch evaluation.
  • Optimize Product Offerings: Enhance product language and offerings to improve efficiency and meet market demands.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to inform product planning and identify growth opportunities.
  • Product Development: Generate detailed product requirements and specifications aligned with customer needs and market trends.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and manage production schedules, pricing strategies, and integrated plans for product introductions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and marketing teams to ensure seamless integration and promotion of product lines.
  • Go-to-Market Strategies: Collaborate with Marketing to develop and execute strategies for product launches, including creating sales support materials.
  • Sales Support: Provide training and resources to the sales team to facilitate successful product launches and sustained sales efforts.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track product performance, gather customer feedback, and implement improvements as needed.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships across multiple business areas and with customers to ensure product success.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements affecting the water well market.
  • Strategic Coordination: Drive the alignment of strategic goals to enhance product and service offerings within the water well sector.


Required Skills and Experience
  • Education: BA/BS Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years as a Product Manager, preferably in manufacturing or the water well industry.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of PVC and steel water well products and their applications.
  • Product Management: Proven ability to manage complex product lines and drive innovation.
  • Analytical Skills: Expertise in conducting market research and competitive analysis.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships internally and externally.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with Product Management software (ideally AHA!).
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to optimize product portfolios and streamline offerings within the water well market.
