Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineering Manager to join our team in Spindale, NC. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge in electrical engineering for large commercial and industrial construction projects, a commitment to team development, and a passion for delivering high-quality work. We are willing to consider an Electrical Engineer that is looking to take a step into management. This type of candidate should have multiple years of experience in the electrical construction field with a focus on commercial projects.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000 (commensurate with qualifications and experience)
Up to $4,000 reimbursement for relocation expenses for highly qualified candidates willing to relocate.
Education and Certifications:
High School diploma or GED (required)
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
North Carolina PE license (preferred)
Relevant licenses or certifications (preferred)
Proficiency in BIM and Revit or similar tools with a minimum of 2 years of experience (preferred)
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in electrical engineering for large commercial and/or industrial construction projects.
Additional experience in project engineering, project management, project controls, pre-fabrication, or estimating will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Read, interpret, and apply construction documents, drawings, designs, and schematics.
Develop designs and specifications for electrical systems on commercial and industrial projects.
Identify and implement engineered solutions for installation challenges.
Pre-Fabrication and Productivity:
Utilize and enhance pre-fabrication techniques to improve installation efficiency.
Drive productivity improvements for electrical installations on commercial projects.
Team Leadership:
Manage an 8-10 person engineering department with a focus on performance and growth.
Foster a collaborative team environment, ensuring alignment with project and company goals.
Software Proficiency:
Utilize tools such as AutoCAD, BIM, Revit, Microsoft Project, Excel, Bluebeam, ProCore, and/or ConEst for project execution and management.
Qualifications and Skills:
Strong ability to interpret complex construction documents.
Expertise in electrical system design for large-scale projects.
Experience with pre-fabrication methods for electrical system installations.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and collaborative mindset.
Additional Requirements:
Must pass a mandatory pre-employment drug screen.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Willingness to relocate and/or commute to Spindale, NC.
