We are looking for a motivated Senior Cost Analyst to join our team!

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the cost controlling function for Measurement Systems & Micro Measurements. Provides management with reports and analysis concerning sales, costs and profit and loss. This includes operational financial reporting, sales, bookings, inventories, pricing, manufacturing OH budgets, timekeeping, labor and material reporting, profit planning and cost variance analysis. Supports policies & procedure to promote continuous improvements to the quality of the product.

• Coordinates and controls Cost Accounting and related functions following company policy and GAAP.
• Recommends and implements cost accounting and internal control procedures within general company policy.
• Responsible for the development and maintenance of standard manufacturing cost files for assigned product lines for pricing, inventory and scrap valuation purposes.
• Responsible for preparation of monthly and YTD P&L, track reports and gross margin reconciliations by product line.
• Maintains variable cost files and price/volume analysis by product class code.
• Responsible for manufacturing cost/pricing development used for OEM, distributor and transfer pricing.
• Participates in major pricing decisions including new product and manufacturing cost/pricing comparative analysis.
• Responsible for audits
• Establish uniform and consistent procedures to control and report inventory valuation (Material, labor and overhead) including inventory revaluation and adjustments.
• Responsible for procedures relating to taking of physical and perpetual inventory.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA or working towards completion.
• 5 years related experience with emphasis on cost/controlling principles
• Experience working in Manufacturing industry is an asset
• Experience with accounting ERP systems required
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Thorough understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial analytical skills required.
• Strong record of performance management and planning accountability.
