Overview
The Director of Product will own end to end Feature Development and GTM strategy for Thorne'sPersonal Health Ecosystem product. This multifaceted position requires a seasoned professional adept at strategic planning, marketing expertise, operational management, and a deep understanding of creating sticky consumer experiences. The role will lead every facet of the company's Personal Health Ecosystem product offering, outside of the medical science aspects of the product which will be led by our Chief Science Officer, a close collaborator with this role. From developing the customer journey, business model, positioning, naming, competitor analysis, feature prioritization, user experience and external communications strategy, this role will help shape the voice and profitability of the product. This role must be able to lead and work cross-functionally with both internal teams and external contractors as needed to plan and implement and track projects to completion - inclusive of content and engineering product roadmaps (articulate Product Design, Product Engineering, Product Strategy, Feature Development), and GTM strategy including pricing strategy, launch plans, and marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities
PRODUCT
- Shapes the personal health ecosystem offering by working alongside the Science, Medical, Marketing, R&D, and Engineering departments to develop product strategy and roadmaps.
- Leads the product functional design based on an intimate knowledge of the customer and technology. Prioritizes engineering backlog and balances requirements of customers and stakeholders; prioritizes feature/story backlog.
- Owns and manages the creation of the product content and customer experience including, but not limited to, site content, email journeys, user guides, tutorials, pitch decks, product videos, release announcements, etc. to articulate the benefits of the product.
PERFORMANCE/FEATURE DEVELOPMENT
- Evaluates product performance and identify opportunities for feature enhancements and further product development using relevant data, customer feedback, reviews, and KPI's.
- Manages Thorne's portfolio of health tests to the extent they are a component of the Personal Health Ecosystem, including growing the revenue and adoption rate should they be available outside the ecosystem.
GO TO MARKET
- Responsible for developing and owning the achievement of the business model and performance analytics. Reports on performance analytics by implementing metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness.
- Develops a thorough competitive analysis of the direct-to-consumer health test market that will be used to inform the marketing strategy.
- Devise and implement strategies to engage with existing customers, gathering invaluable feedback to refine products and identifying opportunities for expansion and upselling.
- Identifies opportunities to increase subscription revenue and product bundles that lead to increasing recurring revenue.
- Crafts compelling value propositions and messaging that resonate with target audiences.
- Coordinates and ensures maintenance of third-party quality certifications, as required. Ensures compliance with ISO, FDA, MDR and all other regulatory requirements, in accordance with company policy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- 7+ years of product marketing and/or similar product experience required, previous app-based marketing experience preferred, to include launching new products and building foundational consumer experience and associated assets
