DSHS ALTSA Quality Improvement Coordinator

TheAging and Long-Term Support Administration(ALTSA),AdultProtective Services (APS) is seeking a Quality Improvement Coordinator who practices cultural humility. Within the Department of Social and Health Services,Aging and Long-Term Support Administration(ALTSA)Adult Protective Services(APS) provides protective services to vulnerable adults who meet the target population in accordance with RCW 74.34, WAC and Policy Tech.

Some of what youll do:

  • Develop and enactquality improvement systems which assist APSstaff to effectively perform duties as required by federal and state laws and regulations, including response to QA process reviews and being responsible for the ongoing activities to address performance.
  • Work closely with APS central intake and regional staff to create Proficiency Improvement Plans with the goal of improving quality of services provided to vulnerable adults.
  • Coordinate with APS statewide staff including policy and training to improve professional development and/or performance improvement.
  • Use a variety of methods, including case reviews and other data collection methodologies, to determine case accuracy, and evaluate the effectiveness of laws, policies, and procedures to minimize risk to the department and the safety of victims.
  • Design and develop reports, evaluate trends, and analyze performance data.


What we're looking for:

One year of experience as a Social and Health Program Consultant 3 or equivalent.

Or

Two years of experience as a Social and Health Program Consultant 2or equivalent.

Or

A bachelors degree in social work, a health or social science, public administration, or related field; AND three years of professional experience in planning, administering, developing, or delivering social, financial, health, or chemical dependency treatment service programs to vulnerable adults.

Or

A masters degree in social work, a health or social science, public administration, or a related field.
