As a member of an integrated team, the Business Process Solutions Manager is also responsible for proactively and collaboratively working with DSI project managers, contract managers, support teams, and other DSI organizational groups in a tactical and strategic capacity, evaluating internal and external client requirements, enforcing change control, and implementing practical solutions on time.

Job Requirements:
  • Manage the activities to establish/determine the customer's business process issues/problems/needs.
  • Achieve proficiency in all significant DSI products, including the AAMS software suite, through internal staffing training, self-guided tutorials, and daily exposure to individual product feature sets.
  • Oversee customer engagement with end users to understand business problems and needs.
  • Understand the big picture, collaborate with cross-functional teams and functional business experts, and translate and document business needs into business requirements.
  • Enable/drive problem-solution fit to the customer using an analysis of alternatives approach.
  • Effectively evangelize the benefits of a budget-friendly subscription-based pricing model.
  • Oversee and participate in end-user interviews to understand the "as is" process flows.
  • Oversee the development of the "to-be" process flows, develop user stories, and support the design and configuration of a minimally viable solution.
  • Enable customers to invest in moving from the "as-is" state to a "to-be" state using pre-configured/off-shelf/off-shelf best practice solution quickly that: (1) minimizes/eliminates the need for a lengthy initial/preliminary business process analysis engagement, and (2) corresponds with the purchased fixed-price subscription-level to stay within the customer's current budget.
  • Effectively articulate the management value of pre-configured/off-shelf/off-shelf best practice business process solutions that meet the customers' core/essential needs quickly and within budget.
  • Oversee and participate in key client meetings, including requirement sessions, solution demos, user acceptance testing, and end-user training.
  • Oversee and conduct customer presentations explaining the business benefits of DSI's configurable process automation solutions, including new and proposed features.
  • Justify pre-configured/off-shelf/off-shelf best practice solutions that align/scale/correlate with the customers' budget.
  • Communicate effectively and persuasively and present best practice solutions to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Illustrate and explain to senior management the benefits/advantages of best practice pre-configurations and workstreams/workflows.
  • Articulate the management value of pre-configured/off-shelf/off-shelf business process solutions to the customers' senior management.
  • Enable the customers' senior management and stakeholders to envision and conceptualize the management/business value of recommended pre-configured/off-shelf/off-shelf best practice solutions.
  • Explain the business value of preconfigured/off-shelf workstreams and associated workflows that emulate best practices.
  • Grow opportunities for upselling additional pre-configured/off-shelf/off-shelf solutions beyond the purchased subscription level.
  • Set or reset customer expectations using a solution roadmap for projected/future enhancements and changes to the baseline configuration.
  • Track changes to the baseline configuration and prioritize customer-driven needs with DSI's solution roadmap.
  • Facilitate visibility and traceability of change management and change control processes to set or reset customers' expectations accordingly.
  • Document baseline solution configurations and enforce effective change control to complement/optimize the agile process.
  • Develop continual and frequent internal and customer status reports that clearly articulate the current solution baseline and propose changes to it, including impacts on the customers' budget based on the purchased subscription level.
  • Recruit and train business process consultants on DSI's approach and rapid and agile solution configuration methodology.


Experience and Skills
  • Working knowledge of the federal acquisition lifecycle phases and processes within program offices, requiring activities, and contracting offices.
  • Fundamental understanding of the best practices, processes, and methodologies of public procurement and government contracting, procurement, distribution, process improvement, logistics, supply chain management, and the regulatory framework.
  • Knowledge of how to fix business processes based on business needs and business process problems.
  • Ability to work and effectively collaborate in a team-oriented environment for a matrixed organization.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical details to a non-technical audience.
  • Knowledge of productivity tools such as Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook), MS Teams, and MS OneDrive.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven ability to listen and relate to customers.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong team player who is always willing to help other team members.

Desired, but not Required Experience:
  • Working knowledge of federal financial systems, including integrations, processes, and procedures.
  • Prior business process analyst experience as it relates to customer business processes.
  • Undergraduate degree in Government Contracting, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Systems Engineering, or related areas.
  • Academic or working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Supply Chain Management business applications.
  • Industry certifications from the Institute of Supply Management (ISM) such as CPSM, CPSD or APSN; National Contract Management Association (NCMA) such as CPCM, CFCM, CCCM, or CCMA, Project Management Institute (PMI) such as PMP or CAPM; Scrum Alliance such as CSM
  • Academic knowledge or working knowledge of Agile and SCRUM processes and methodologies.
  • Fundamental understanding of the Federal Acquisition process with the NCMA Contract Management Standard (CMS).

Education:
  • A master's or other advanced degree and 7 years of relevant experience; or
  • a bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience; or
  • Government /Industry technical/professional certifications such as CPCM, DAWIA, PMP, and 10 years of relevant experience.
