- Supervise and mentor the Assistant Controller and accounting personnel.
- Review and approve month-end financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, along with their supporting work papers.
- Prepare periodic tax computations and review and approve all local, state, and federal compliance reporting.
- Conduct scenario planning and financial modeling to support strategic decisions.
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and tax requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
- Oversee banking activities and foreign credit insurance activities.
- Facilitate subsidiary companies accounting and reporting.
- Other duties and special projects as directed by the CFO.
Formal Requirements and Certifications of Job - Required
- Minimum four-year business degree, accounting major
- Requires CPA certificate; active certificate preferred; needs CPE records.
- Minimum eight years of accounting management experience, with three in public accounting.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience with basic accounting, job costing, depreciation, and reporting software.
Preferred
- Experience working with consolidated financial statements and multiple branches.
- Exposure to international companies/clients.
- Experience working with operating budgets.
- Experience working with 401-K plan administration.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
