Reporting to the Head of Sales, Canada, the NAM is responsible for expanding SodaStream Canada's market presence and is a critical driver of activities to generate revenue in the business. The NAM increases brand value through the development of relationships with strategic partners, and is responsible for establishing and achieving market penetration, and partnership acquisition goals with key accounts. They will deliver the sales results needed to profitably achieve revenue targets for the company, while building the foundation for long-term leadership in the market. The Grocery/Drug NAM will also play a lead role in managing our Distributor ensuring a seamless process from promotional planning to order to cash.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and execute an annual sales plan in conjunction with cross functional teams and the Head of Sales, including revenue, trade investment and profit delivery by customer, and business subcategory
Maintain accurate forecasts and promotional plans to support the annual sales plan - B&M and retail.ca accounts
Develop a business plan congruent with the national sales strategy with an emphasis on joint value creation and strategic differentiation - Grow the business profitably
Secure new and existing product listings to optimize sales
Measure, monitor and manage overall plan effectiveness, and optimize initiatives as required
Distributor management to ensure seamless order to cash of core customers
Project management as needed across functions internally and externally to enable growth and unlock value - Account and Enterprise
Track and measure account POS to ensure successful program sell through; ensure profit targets are met for each category; Analyze key customer data to identify opportunities and risks for action
Work in collaboration with Marketing / eCommerce Team to develop and support OMNI channel accounts (retail.ca)
Perform needs analysis, program and presentation development, sale and renewal with both established and prospective accounts
Effectively manage trade spending and account forecasts working collaboratively with Finance and Supply Chain
Travel to customer locations, tradeshows and other industry events nationwide as needed

Requirements
- University degree in Business, Marketing, or other relevant field
- Minimum 3-5 years of Sales, Marketing and/or Category Management experience
- Prior work experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) preferably or consumer durables industries
- Proven experience developing relationships by identifying partners, business development opportunities, and cross selling opportunities
- Extensive knowledge of sales, marketing, brand development
- Strong knowledge of analytics and ability to derive insights from customer data to enable fact-based selling
- Advanced negotiation skills; ability to find 'win-win' solutions for joint value (Consumer, SST, Retailer)
- Experience with large ACV retailers required (preference will be to candidates with Major Grocery Account experience including Loblaws Group, Sobeys) and advanced working knowledge of Retailer portals
- Distributor management experience a strong asset
- Sense of urgency to act and deliver profitably
- Excellent planning, analytical and project management skills
- Passionate about selling and creating value for customers, deep understanding of customer and internal ROI measurements
- Cooperative and collaborative, with the ability to forge strong internal and external relationships to get things done
- A strong team player, with a well-developed "people interaction" skill set
- Thorough understanding of financials including trade spending and profit and loss statements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of French considered a major asset, but not mandatory
- Self-motivated, creative, results driven, solution oriented, direct and convincing when it's right for the customer
