JOB PURPOSE:
This position is primarily responsible for working with the Piedmont Leadership Team (PLT), the Chief Public Policy Officer and the Executive Director of Regulatory Affairs to execute advocacy strategy for Piedmont Healthcare (PHC) before legislative bodies at the local, state and federal levels. Areas of responsibility include supporting Piedmonts strategy to grow its Graduate Medical Education programs through increased government reimbursement and provide strategic and tactical support in designing PHCs lobbying efforts on other system priorities. Additional responsibilities include being the lead representative for PHC for any service issues identified by legislators or their constituents. This position requires strong relationships with members of the Georgia General Assembly as well as an understanding of impact of legislation and state and federal funding streams on delivery of patient-centered care at every hospital and location throughout the PHC system.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelors degree is required.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in government or government relations.
