Series A biotech startup is looking for an Operations Manager to work alongside their Founding team. This is an incredible opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a very promising startup and join a hardworking, young team of 21! The ideal candidate is flexible, resourceful, and willing to pitch in where needed. The role is very dynamic in that you will be providing support on numerous fronts - OM duties, recruiting/people-related, marketing, CRM management, and event planning. This is an in-office role, they are in San Francisco's Mission Bay district near the waterfront. 110-130K DOE + great equity and benefits, 401k, unlimited PTO, paid lunch/dinner & other great professional development, wellness & productivity perks.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the office. Be the point of contact with building management and vendors, order and stock supplies, and improve the workspace.
  • Assist with finances such as running payroll, reviewing expenses, managing payments for insurance, modifying team budgets, and finding areas to improve costs.
  • Oversee employee operations such as employee visa application process and compliance, screening resumes and attending hiring fairs, optimizing the ATS platform, etc.
  • Evaluate marketing tools and tactics, organize and maintain the CRM, optimize the paid advertising portfolio, and focus marketing efforts.
  • Plan team events such as happy hours, sales dinners, and annual conferences.
  • Execute strategic projects such as overseeing office moves, compliance with new regulatory frameworks, leading marketing strategies, etc.
  • Provide ad hoc calendar support to the Leadership team.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a high-intensity generalist, operations role in a fast-paced startup.
  • No task too big or too small mentality, You're excited to roll up your sleeves and get deep in the weeds.
  • Ability to quickly grasp new concepts: bioinformatics, multi-omics research, usage-based platform growth strategies, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to take on projects independently.
  • Expertly tech savvy and ability to leverage complicated tools to automate operations.
  • A tireless commitment to enhancing your skills.
