We are seeking a VP of BW Automation located in our Pittsburg, CA headquarters. This individual will direct, coach, and mentor a team of engineers to deliver to our customers best in class engineered solutions for mechatronics solutions with a current focus on motion products that excel in harsh and extreme environments.
The ideal candidate has a high level of energy, self-direction, accountability and has proven systems to foster a collaborative environment that enhances a pioneering spirit to take on risky projects.

We are seeking a VP of BW Automation located in our Pittsburg, CA headquarters. Expectations of the role
- Lead and develop the Engineering Team (includes Symation division) to deliver imaginative solutions for our customers
- Participate in formal systems design, product, process and certification reviews
- Focus on developing products & solutions and custom solutions as needed to meet and reinforce our Signature Experience promise
- Work closely with the Director of Engineering and team, Manufacturing Engineers, and skilled tradesmen to support our operations and customers with their technical needs
- Participate and provide transparent input as a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT)
- Member of the Operations Committee
- Present to the Board on an as-needed basis

- Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; master's degree preferred. PE Certification a plus
- 10+ years of experience mechanical design and innovation experience
- 5-7 plus years managing engineering/technical teams in a manufacturing environment
- A healthy dissatisfaction with the status quo
- A balanced demeanor with a sense of humor
- Working knowledge of common CAD and engineering tools (Pro Engineer, Solidworks, CREO, etc.)
- Knowledge of 3D Printing and rapid prototyping
- Working knowledge of ERP systems
- Excellent verbal, written communication and technical writing skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Ability to travel, including international, to meet with customers, vendors, and partners, (25%)
