Description

Entech is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Representative with a robust 15+ year track record in the energy engineering consulting industry. The ideal candidate will leverage a vast professional network and deep understanding of consulting engineering services to drive business growth across traditional upstream, midstream, and downstream markets, with a specific focus within the Renewable Natural Gas submarket utilizing an existing network of contacts. This role requires a proactive sales strategist capable of building and nurturing client relationships, generating new business, and traveling extensively within the Mid-Atlantic (mostly), with occasional visits to the Northeast, Midwest, and South regions. The ideal candidate would possess a strong aptitude for communication, teamwork, and productivity, as well as conscientiousness toward internal and external client's needs.

This position offers a flexible, hybrid schedule from our Reading office.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Creating annual business development plans and forecasts, and then leading efforts to execute the annual plan within larger marketing initiatives across the company
  • Gathering information on potential clients and projects and participating in a Natural Gas Marketing Team with communication through our CRM (Client Relationship Management) System.
  • Lead internal periodic meetings using CRM for coordination of internal business development stakeholders (PM's, Technical Managers, etc.).
  • Scheduling meetings with new and existing or past clients to uncover project opportunities.
  • Developing and maintaining strong networking relationships within the Energy industry (specifically Renewable Natural Gas and Natural Gas Utility Markets).
  • Participating in and representing the firm at industry trade shows and conferences
  • Participating in professional organizations
  • Reporting on planned and executed sales activities to appropriate levels of management.
  • Generating pre-determined sales goals within selected time frames
  • Assisting with the development of scopes of work and fee estimates
  • Assisting with proposal writing and qualification packages
  • Intermittently working on projects to stay in tune with services and deliverables, especially in areas of existing technical knowledge

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • 15+ years of business development or marketing within the Energy or Natural Gas industry.
  • 10+ years of technical work experience in engineering, operations, and project management for facility and pipeline design services, as well as civil / permitting services in the Energy or Natural Gas Industry, a plus.
  • Previous use of a Client Relationship Management system required. Use of Deltek VantagePoint CRM a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
