Job Description
Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
Job Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day - 8x5, 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM, On-call requirements: 1 night/week and 1 weekend/month
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours
Experience: Minimum 2 Years of Experience
License: Current state RCIS certification or equivalent
Certifications: BCLS and ACLS certification; Basic EKG/Arrhythmia identification certification
Must-Have: Current certification in respective field, experience in invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular procedures
Job Description:
- Provide quality diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a Cardiac Cath Laboratory setting.
- Work collaboratively with the cardiovascular team to assess and plan patient care needs.
- Assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff.
- Operate and maintain cardiovascular equipment and supplies necessary for diagnostic and therapeutic examinations.
- Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
- Participate in inservice education and periodic clinical skills evaluation.
- Support and operate within the ethical and legal guidelines outlined by professional standards and organizational policies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and organizational memberships for improved skills and knowledge.
- Assist in the diagnosis and treatment of heart and vascular diseases, maintaining the highest level of patient care.
- Participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans and interventions.
- Provide post-procedural care and assess patient recovery, ensuring effective handover communication.
