Position Summary:
As a key member of the DPSCD Technology Division, the Senior Director of Enterprise Resource Planning will oversee the strategic and operational management of the district's ERP systems. The role is critical in managing resources for various IT projects and support for business partners, driving roadmap improvements, overseeing system upgrades, and leading initiatives focused on migration to a cloud solution. The Senior Director, Enterprise Resource Planning will lead ERP data clean up, quality assurance, integration, migration, and support business operations through enhanced ERP functionalities.

Essential Functions:
Lead the planning and execution of ERP system upgrades and module enhancement, ensuring minimal disruption and a smooth transition for stakeholders. Collaborate with third-party vendors and district teams to execute end-to-end implementation of new features, including requirement gathering, development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live-support. Support the design, development, and testing of system customizations to meet business requirements, following established development standard and vendor-recommended approaches. Analyze system problems, determining the root cause, and making necessary software changes to resolve issues promptly. Design and develop conversion programs, assisting clients with data mapping and migration efforts to ensure data integrity during system transitions. Lead and develop a team of ERP professionals, setting clear objectives, evaluating performance, and providing regular feedback. Manage the ERP project portfolio, ensuring resource availability and alignment to strategic goals. Report on project portfolio and operational progress to senior leadership, maintaining alignment with organizational objectives and key results (OKRs). Drive the strategic improvements identified in the PeopleSoft Assessment and Opportunity Roadmap, creating efficiency, effectiveness, and best practices across functional areas. Lead the functional tasks required to support the business operations through the ERP system. Seek to understand and document ERP customizations, external connections, historical challenges, and all rationale behind current business processes and data infrastructure. Spearhead ERP data cleanup initiatives to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data across systems. Manage vendor contracts to ensure maximum value to the district, overseeing terms and performance to guarantee service delivery aligns with the district's needs and budget constraints. Implement robust data quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of data integrity. Oversee the integration and migration of ERP systems to cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless data flows between platforms without loss of functionality. Manage cross-functional collaboration with other departments, such as SIS, Data Services, etc. to support district wide initiatives. Develop and maintain documentation for operational procedures, system processes and changes, configurations, and modifications, including migration strategies to cloud-based environments. Ensure ERP systems operate in compliance with relevant laws, policies, and standards. Foster a culture of continuous improvements and professional development within the team. Conduct work outside of regular business hours and respond to on-call emergencies related to system failures or critical updates. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent extensive professional experience. Master's degree is preferred.
Certifications
- PMP, ITIL, and cloud technologies (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) is highly desired.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in managing ERP systems, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience successfully managing remote and onsite technical resource teams to achieve positive outcomes and deliver services effectively.
- Proven record of successful ERP system management, data integrity initiatives, and project delivery.
- Deep understanding of ERP architecture, functionality, integration strategies, and familiarity with cloud technologies.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage senior-level IT professionals.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with all stakeholders - technical and non-technical.
