This position leads the development of products and services that focus on professional development, consultation and coaching, and community partnership opportunities that are based on current and future customer needs. The Director provides leadership and support in the area of educational improvement to the various stakeholder groups served by the Lincoln Intermediate Unit 12 (LIU) by assessing needs, planning and developing programs, and obtaining resources in collaboration with school systems, and agency and community partners.

Full-time, 260 days (12 months)/year

Requirements:
- Superintendent's Letter of Eligibility preferred
- Pennsylvania certification as Principal K-12 required
- Master's Degree in Education required
- Successful classroom teaching experience required
- Minimum of five (5) years of job-related administrative experience required
- District level/central office leadership experience strongly desired, as it plays a crucial role in effectively navigating IU-wide operations and leadership responsibilities
- Knowledge of current and emerging trends in educational practices
- Knowledge of current and emerging trends in Special Education practices
- Successful experience in customer relations and fiscal planning
- Experience in coordination of interdivisional and interagency program development, with demonstrated success in grant acquisition and administration
- Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with a variety of technological tools
- Must be highly organized and be flexible to work on multiple tasks
- Must possess good communication skills and be highly confidential at all times
- Must act as a team player, yet able to work independently
- Must pay attention to detail, be able to learn new skills and deal with constant change
