Job Description

This position reports to the Construction Operations Manager and has extensive interface with Corrective Action Program (CAP) participants and stakeholders. The CAPCO is an integral part of achieving excellence in CAP under the Fluor Nuclear Power (FNP) quality program.

Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
Assist Construction management in identifying and tracking Condition Reports (CRs) and helping balance the organization's CAP workload
Construction organization point-of-contact for the CAP.
Extensive interface with project construction personnel and Corrective Action Program (CAP) administrators
Interface with FNP corporate management, project management, clients, Quality management and other FNP disciplines as necessary
Using open item status reports to manage organizational CAP assignments by maintaining awareness of status, and ensuring assignees and management are aware of CAP submittal (evaluation, disposition, and action) due dates
Track CR location within the organization
Support the submittal of due date extension requests in a timely manner
Functioning as the Construction organization's CAP expert and mentor in implementing the CAP procedure
Perform peer reviews of the organization's draft CRs prior to or after initiation
Perform peer reviews of evaluations and dispositions for adequacy
Perform or support investigations, evaluations, and causal analyses; developing S.M.A.R.T. action plans
Share CAP-related information and lessons learned with project management
Share CAP-related information with senior and executive management during monthly Corrective Action Review Committee (CARC) meetings
Perform or support other CAP duties as assigned by organizational management
Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements
Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and ten (10) years of work-related experience or a or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to, coworkers, management, clients, vendors, contractors , and visitors
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Preferred Qualifications
Previously served as a Corrective Action Program Coordinator or Administrator, Engineer or Designer under an ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001-compliant Quality Assurance Program
Understands the importance of adherence to nuclear standards and holds themselves personally accountable
Comfortable coaching and mentoring, helping personnel understand and practice expected behaviors and actions
Has a Questioning Attitude, avoiding complacency and continuously challenging existing conditions and activities in order to identify discrepancies that might result in error or inappropriate action
Is knowledgeable of Human Performance Improvement concepts and tools
Has documented training and experience performing Root Cause Analysis
Possess problem solving, organizational, and conflict resolution skills
Ability to collaborate and adapt to changing conditions
Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, email, spreadsheets, and electronic presentations
