Terrific Development DIrector position with a new nonprofit focused on implementing policy and conducting research related to addiction. The Development DIrector will be a strategic and hands on fundraiser securing funds from all sources with a focus on foundations, corporations, and government grants. The role will be integral in developing and implementing the organizations fundraising program by creating fundraising strategies and fostering strong relationships with donors and prospects. The Director will also be responsible for selecting and implementing a donor CRM for the organization. Qualified candidates should have approximately 3+ years of relevant fundraising experience. Bachelor's degree is required. Excellent relationship building skills and a demonstrated track record of securing gifts are essential for this role. Candidates should also have a strong connection and alignment with the organization's mission. The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $180,000 per year, with potential flexibility based on experience. This position operates remotely and can be based anywhere in the US.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement a fundraising plan that includes individuals, government/foundation grants, corporate partnerships, and events
  • Provide moves management to a portfolio of current and prospective donors
  • Secure grant funding by researching new funding sources and writing compelling proposals; manage any grant reporting
  • Plan and execute fundraising campaigns
  • Convey the organization's mission to donors and prospects
  • Implement a donor CRM and manage donor data
  • Coordinate with internal team members and external partners


Qualifications:
  • Approximately 3+ of years of related fundraising experience
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Demonstrated track record of securing gifts and building strong relationships with donors and prospects
  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Detail oriented and thoughtful
  • Experience using a donor CRM, experience implementing a CRM a plus
  • Strong connection to the organization's mission (personal or professional) and the ability convey impact to donors
