The Financial Accounting & Reporting Sr. Manager plans and directs financial accounting, reporting and planning activities within the accounting department
of the organization by performing the following duties, personally or through subordinate managers and supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures
    relating to financial management, planning, forecasting, financial accounting, and reporting in compliance
    with US GAAP and IFRS
  • Supervises and participates in the preparation of various financial statements and reports
    Directs the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution,
    depreciation, cost, property and operating expenses
  • Participates in cost analyses and rate studies
  • Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing
    systems
  • Coordinates reporting to the parent companies
  • Coordinates external audit, preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting
  • Supports and supervises the finance and accounting team in budgeting, forecasting, and variance
    analyses.
  • Reviews financial statements with management personnel
  • Directs the installation and maintenance of new accounting, inventory, property and other related
    procedures and controls, including IFRS
  • Assists internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards and provide guidance on their impact.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams on financial strategies, M&A activities, or special projects.
  • Manages special projects of significant complexity or financial impact. Performs research, data gathering, and analysis.
  • Develops conclusions and recommendations.
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Manages subordinate managers and supervisors who supervise subordinate employees in the Corporate
    Accounting department.
  • Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these
    units.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable
    laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; providing coaching and
    professional development; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding
    and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Four-year college or university program certificate; 5 to 7 years related experience; or equivalent
    combination of education and experience. CPA is highly preferred. Experience in a publicly traded
    company or Big 4 accounting firm is also highly preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical
    procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and
    procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of
    managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only
    limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal,
    diagram, or schedule form.
    Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software (eg SAP);
Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software (MS Office).

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range of $125,000-$140,000/per year
