Retirement Planners & Administrators (RPA), a Strongpoint Partner, is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Retirement Plan Administrator who will provide full client services to a designated caseload of clients, including day to day communication and management of their workflow and project deadlines. Retirement Planners & Administrators (RPA), a Strongpoint Partner, is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Retirement Plan Administrator who will provide full client services to a designated caseload of clients, including day to day communication and management of their workflow and project deadlines. What you'll do:
- Manage a team of 4 to 8 administrators to deliver strong performance; establish performance expectations; train and develop team by providing timely recognition, feedback, coaching, and support; assist with problem solving and guidance; allocate resources effectively to equitably distribute the workload while also identifying appropriate skill levels and talents
- Assist in training new employees
- Independently handle a small caseload of plans with A-Z administration
- Perform plan ADP/ACP compliance testing accurately and timely
- Provide superior client service and communication
- Maintain industry knowledge and share information with team members
- Utilize administration systems and other technologies to maximize efficiencies
- Review and recommend plan design changes
- Coordinate year-end valuation
- Read and interpret plan documents
- Asset Reconciliation/Trust Accounting
- Forms 5500, 8955, 5330
Who you are:
- Minimum of 3 years of management experience
- Minimum of 7 years of 401k/403b retirement plan administration experience
- Pension Pro experience required
- Excellent knowledge of ADP/ACP, 415, 410(b), Top Heavy, 414(s), and 401(a)(4) non-discrimination testing
- ASPPA and/or NIPA credentials preferred
- Experience with Relius software strongly preferred
- Excellent verbal, written, analytical, organizational skills and keen attention to detail
- Strong math and/or accounting skills
- Strong initiative, integrity, self-motivation, and results orientation
- Ability to organize, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong MS Office experience, especially Excel and Word
