POSITION SUMMARY

The Head of IC & PMO is responsible for developing and implementing a holistic Lean Industrial Culture & Project Management Office. This role will oversee all Industrial Performance-related programs at Cambridge & Burlington facilities. You will be expected to challenge the status quo, support, develop and push the team to achieve their highest level of performance. As the Head of Project Management, work with cross-functional stakeholders to develop, manage, and execute strategy and a plan that aligns with overall company strategy and goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, establish, execute and oversee a Lean Transformation program that results in improved safety culture, increased efficiency, reducing quality events and costs.
    • Focus on all Lean elements (i.e. daily huddles, +QDCI; Gemba problem solving).
    • Oversight of all programs/projects/process related to improving Operations; organizational design; safety, quality and cost.
    • Provide program design expertise and guidance to ensure programs are properly constructed and include all applicable projects and work streams.
  • Learn details of how the organization is currently run in order to understand capabilities and gaps to drive efforts to continually improve performance across the site. Partner with leaders and staff to train on the specifics and goals of program to empower staff to take over and own.
  • Establish and lead a Project Management governance system for Operations, including standardized approaches to program management, monthly dashboards ,lessons learned, etc..
  • Plan and lead annual Strategy/Goals development and deployment for Operations.

Staff Management:
  • Select, develop, and motivate staff to effectively carry out department functions and provide for the continuity of managerial and specialized skills.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to staff consistent with cGMP, company corporate governance.
  • Coach and mentor staff in all aspect of their job performance and career development including training, feedback, rewards and disciplinary action.
  • Develop work plans and appropriate project plans, assign tasks, and supervise team(s).
  • Ensure staff has appropriate knowledge of department processes and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, science or a related field or equivalent years.
  • A minimum of 15 years prior operational management experience with at least 10 years of line management of Managers and Directors.
  • Proven prior industry experience leading cultural, operational and compliance transformations with quantifiable results required.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification required.
  • Excellent Project management skills
  • Ability to lead, engage, and influence employees at all organizational levels.
