Responsibilities

**Position Overview:**

We are seeking a Family Medicine Physician to join our behavioral health team. This role combines primary care expertise with a focus on supporting patients experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. The Family Medicine Physician will play a vital role in providing comprehensive, integrated care, addressing both physical and behavioral health needs to improve patient outcomes.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, including physical exams, to identify and treat physical health conditions alongside behavioral health challenges.

- Collaborate with behavioral health professionals to develop and implement integrated treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.

- Manage and treat chronic and acute medical conditions in patients with co-occurring mental health or substance use disorders.

- Prescribe and manage medications, including psychotropic medications, in coordination with psychiatrists and other specialists.

- Provide preventive care and health education to support patients' overall well-being.

- Participate in case conferences with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

- Document patient interactions, diagnoses, and treatment plans in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

- Stay informed about advancements in family medicine and behavioral health to incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care.

**Qualifications:**

- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.

- Completion of a residency program in Family Medicine.

- Board certification in Family Medicine (or eligibility for certification).

- Valid state medical license to practice.

- Experience or interest in behavioral health and integrated care settings preferred.

- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

- Commitment to providing culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and patient-centered care.

**Work Environment:**

- Clinical setting, including outpatient clinics, community health centers, or integrated care facilities.

- Collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.

- May include on-call responsibilities or after-hours consultations as needed.
