Purpose:
Contribute to our district's initiative to streamline support, enhance planning, and optimize business processes. This role will collaborate closely with district administrators, department heads, project managers, and solutions support group to design, implement, and customize solutions tailored to meet organizational objectives. Responsibilities include ensuring appropriate access levels across different work groups, aligning solutions with district goals, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts within the IT landscape. This role will support the centralization of support services, bolster business process efficiency, and contribute to maintaining robust solutions while adhering to security protocols and industry standards.

Performance Responsibilities:
This role focuses on customizing and developing tailored solutions to meet departmental needs using a variety of technological suites. It involves a continuous evaluation of the solution's vision, success metrics, and maturity level while exploring technological advancements to drive proactive changes and enhancements. Collaboration with project managers, department stakeholders, and IT teams is pivotal for designing and implementing solutions aligned with departmental and organizational objectives. Ensuring reliability, efficiency, and compliance within these solutions is paramount. The role also entails providing clear, accessible documentation, comprehensive training, and user support. Aligning product usage with district goals and coordinating ongoing maintenance and optimization efforts with IT teams remain key priorities. This position primarily operates from the district office but may involve travel to various district locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Customize Atlassian products (e.g., Jira, Confluence) to meet diverse departmental needs by creating custom fields, issue types, and workflows aimed at enhancing business process efficiency.
  • Ensure alignment of Atlassian product usage with the district-wide goal of centralizing support and planning. Collaborate with project managers and support groups to maintain this alignment.
  • Familiarize oneself with various organizational solutions, understanding their strengths and limitations.
  • Engage with department heads and stakeholders to comprehensively understand their unique challenges and requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers and support groups to design, implement, and customize Atlassian-based solutions that effectively meet departmental requirements.
  • Manage access levels for users within different work groups, ensuring alignment with district goals and upholding security measures.
  • Maintain up-to-date and clear documentation of Atlassian product configurations and best practices.
  • Provide comprehensive training and support to new agents during the implementation phase. Collaborate with the support group to promptly address user queries and issues.
  • Offer training and support to agents, customers, and the support group as needed.
  • Ensure the reliability, efficiency, and compliance of solutions built within Atlassian products.
  • Work closely with the support group to maintain system integrity, adhere to best practices, and ensure accessible documentation for departmental users. Oversee ongoing maintenance tasks, user support, and system optimization. Ensure the support team is proficient and adequately trained in Atlassian tools to provide effective assistance.
  • Collaborate with the product solution partner to manage licensing agreements, ensuring compliance, and facilitating necessary assistance when required for Atlassian products.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Experience as an Atlassian Product Administrator or similar role.
  • Proficiency in configuring and customizing Atlassian products (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Experience administering systems in a large complex environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships across departments and organizations.
  • Knowledge of best practices for system configuration and management.
  • Familiarity with project management principles is a plus.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform assigned duties.
  • Valid Idaho driver's license.
Essential Physical Abilities:
  • The ability to effectively communicate in person and over the telephone, including understanding verbal instructions and conveying information clearly, with or without reasonable accommodation.
