Job Description:
Lenox Family Health, a leading healthcare practice affiliated with Berkshire Health Systems, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Outpatient Primary Care Physician to provide exceptional healthcare services to our patients. Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality primary care services to a diverse patient population in an outpatient setting.
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and medical histories to develop accurate diagnoses and appropriate treatment plans.
- Manage acute and chronic illnesses, including acute injuries, infections, and chronic conditions, through evidence-based medicine and best practices.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and imaging studies, to aid in diagnosis and treatment decisions.
- Prescribe and manage medications, including prescribing controlled substances when necessary, while adhering to responsible prescribing guidelines.
- Educate patients on preventive healthcare measures, lifestyle modifications, and disease management strategies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physician assistants, nurses, and specialists, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to evidence-based guidelines to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
