Job Description
General Purpose
The Senior Advisor Operational Efficiency will work under the leadership of the Vice President of Finance and collaborate closely with the executive leadership team to identify and implement financial strategies that enhance the hospital's contribution margin.
The primary objective is to achieve an improved favorable operating margin. This role demands strong analytical capabilities, proficiency in developing proformas, and the ability to propose and execute improvement plans across various aspects of hospital operations, including the revenue cycle.
The Senior Advisor Operational Efficiency will have broad exposure across the function and interdependent business areas. The role is responsible for organizing and overseeing the Finance ongoing programs and special initiatives and for developing best-in-class practices in delivering priorities across the business, while leading critical financial analyses.

Essential Duties
Job Requirements
Work Experience
* 10+ years of relevant experience in project/program management, with a strong understanding of hospital operations and revenue cycle management. * Deep knowledge of Finance functions, including change management and program communications. * Experience working with senior leaders in a dynamic and ambiguous environment. * Prior experience as a Chief of Staff or progressive experience within Management Consulting preferred.
Education
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. * MBA or CPA preferred.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
* Ability to influence others and operate effectively in a matrix environment with cross-collaboration and multiple lines of accountability. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail. * Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills across teams, cultures, and geographies. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Proven project management skills, including experience with PM technology platforms * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Essential Duties
- Financial Analysis & Strategy Development:
- Assist the VP of Finance and the executive leadership team in identifying opportunities to enhance the hospital's bottom line.
- Analyze financial performance data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
- Develop and assess proformas for new initiatives, services, and programs to ensure alignment with the hospital's financial objectives.
- Portfolio & Program Management:
- Serve as operations liaison for Finance Leadership and key business stakeholders, providing strategic guidance on program management to drive successful financial operations completion.
- Develop and implement an innovative Finance Operations strategy and program management framework, focusing on operational roadmaps and necessary innovations.
- Maintain an integrated operation priorities roadmap, ensuring deliverables and processes align with and optimize Finance's strategic financial investments.
- Lead and manage operational improvements, ensuring cross-functional teams work collaboratively and effectively.
- Revenue Cycle Support:
- Collaborate with the revenue cycle management team to identify and resolve inefficiencies.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving revenue collection, billing accuracy, and reducing accounts receivable days.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Work with department heads to develop and implement improvement plans that enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Identify areas of waste or redundancy and propose optimization strategies.
- Reporting & Communication:
- Prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, and presentations for the executive team and board of directors.
- Communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Design and support scalable infrastructure (processes, tools, and templates) to enable best-in-class end-to-end project delivery.
- Define initiative value propositions, scopes, work plans, resource needs, timelines, and budgets.
- Communicate project status, milestone progress, and risks and issues to team leadership, ensuring alignment and optimization.
- Continuous Improvement & Best Practices:
- Monitor the progress of financial initiatives and make adjustments as necessary to meet financial targets.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes that may impact the hospital's financial performance.
- Drive and maintain consistency across the Portfolio in terms of execution, status tracking, change management, and communication activities.
- Measure and track program effectiveness through qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Conduct regular checkpoints with key partners to gather insights and interdependencies that inform portfolio management and execution.
