What You'll Do

As our Engineering Manager, you'll oversee a dynamic team of mechanical and electrical engineers, driving innovation in ambulance design while ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance. You'll collaborate across departments, manage multiple projects, and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives that keep Life Line at the forefront of the industry.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and Inspire: Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Innovate and Oversee: Drive the design of cutting-edge mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.
  • Project Management: Balance multiple design projects, aligning goals with customer needs, budgets, and timelines.
  • Collaborate and Improve: Work with manufacturing, procurement, and sales to enhance processes and deliver top-notch ambulances.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who values problem-solving, teamwork, and quality over perfection. Here's what would make you a great fit:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in vehicle design/manufacturing, with 3+ years in leadership.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and a solid understanding of vehicle systems.

Nice to Have (but not required):
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or design-for-manufacturability (DFM).
  • Familiarity with specialty or emergency vehicles.
  • PMP certification or similar credentials (a plus, not a must).

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role involves occasional hands-on work near mechanical parts and exposure to indoor/outdoor elements. Flexibility and adaptability are key.
