Hall Mercer at Pennsylvania Hospital is seeking a Lead Forensic APP. This is a full time, day shift opportunity.
Summary:
- The Lead Forensic APP is critical apart of Hall Mercer's clinical team located at the Philadelphia Juvenile Justice Services Center (PJJSC). They serve as the sole provider for psychotropic medication evaluation and management for adolescents currently held in secure detention at the PJJSC. The Lead Forensic APP is responsible for collaborating and maintaining a working relationship with DHS to ensure all identified youth's psychotropic medication needs are being evaluated and met in a timely manner. They are responsible for evaluating and completing all court orders for medication evaluations form the Philadelphia Family court and Philadelphia Criminal Justice Center. Additionally, they are responsible for distributing court orders to all necessary stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner. They collaborate with program manager, clinicians and clinical care coordinator to ensure all PJJSC resident psychiatric needs are being met to the team best clinical ability. They work intentionally and proactively around discharge to ensure continuity of care for residents on active psychotropic medication as they discharge from the PJJSC to placements or the community.
Credentials:
- Current Pennsylvania License and applicable certification within respective field.
Education or Equivalent Experience:
- Master of Science
- 1+ years in their respective Advanced Practice Profession
- 1+ years Experience working with adolescents in secure detention and/or have contact with the juvenile justice system (preferred)
