Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented B2B eCommerce leader to champion the success of the e-commerce channel through online sales and via e-tailer and marketplace partnerships. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, sales, and overall profitability (P&L) from this business segment. You will be a strategic thought leader, collaborating closely with internal teams across sales, marketing, pricing, product, operations, and technology to identify and execute growth opportunities.
Position Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Execution
Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy for this channel, driving increased sales, market share, and profitability through a mix of actions.
Manage the P&L of this channel, ensuring financial and ROI targets are met and exceeded.
Oversee the optimization of product listings, including descriptions, images, and keywords, to enhance visibility and conversion rates on owned and partner e-tailer platforms.
Leverage a test-and-learn mindset to create growth plans and execute these plans.
Customer Relationship Management
Build and nurture e-tailer sales and customer pipeline to drive growth through higher share of revenue from new and existing partnerships and own websites.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, understanding their needs, exceeding their expectations, and creating win-win opportunities.
Identify and capitalize on top growth opportunities via Amazon, Walmart, and other marketplaces.
Data Analysis and Optimization
Create a dashboard that includes key channel metrics and share it regularly with all key stakeholders and the executive leadership team.
Continuously analyze sales and customer data to identify trends, inform strategic decision-making, and measure the success of channel growth initiatives.
Gather and analyze customer feedback to continuously improve the partner experience and address any issues or concerns promptly.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Lead cross-functional collaboration with sales, marketing, pricing, product, operations, and technology teams to deliver an industry leading experience for the customer and drive consistent expectations and messaging.
Develop and execute promotional strategies and campaigns to drive sales during key seasons and events. This includes managing and engaging suppliers for special buy programs.
Work with technology teams to improve channel efficiency through EDI and API-driven process improvements.
Industry Knowledge and Trends
Regularly analyze competitor activities and market trends to develop proactive strategies for gaining a competitive advantage.
Stay up to date on the latest B2B eCommerce trends and technologies and represent the customers and channel in cross-functional meetings.
Position Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a leadership role within B2B sales or e-commerce, with a proven track record of increasing responsibilities and revenue growth. 5+ years of overall channel experience.
Proven track record of developing and executing successful B2B and e-commerce growth strategies.
Advanced understanding of direct e-commerce, e-tailer, and marketplace channel best practices.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and utilize marketing data to execute quick and impactful decision-making.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to motivate, inspire, and influence others, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
Advanced prioritization skills, with ability to keep eye on the prize without being easily distracted by non-consequential noise sources.
Creative and associative thinker with an unfaltering attention to detail.
Experience in successfully developing, managing, and growing P&Ls is a strong plus.
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field. MBA, Masters or other advanced degree preferred.
