Director of Fleet Service Centers and Aftermarket Parts

$130,000 to $150,000 per year based on related experience.

The Director of Fleet Service Centers and Aftermarket Parts is responsible for overseeing the efficient and profitable growth of four geographically located service centers and corporate aftermarket parts department located in High Point, NC. This position is accountable for safety, quality, volume, and revenue generation as well as outcomes to appropriate levels of growth and management.

Director of Fleet Service Centers and Aftermarket Parts Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develop and forecast revenue goals and growth objectives for service centers and parts teams.
  • Develop budgets and forecasts for new tools and equipment and implement a replacement strategy for service assets.
  • Collaborate on the creation of annual operating budgets for all service centers and the parts team.
  • Lead the hiring, training, monitor and assess performance management of service center and parts managers
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including but not limited to hazardous waste disposal while ensuring safety standards are upheld.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress of revenue strategies, goals, achievements, market conditions, and expense management.
  • Collaborate with larger fleet customers to foster repeat and referral business.
  • Prioritize customer satisfaction, handling escalated complaints, and involving executive management when necessary.
  • Review and optimize service center and parts pricing plans to ensure profitability goals.
  • Collaborate with the service center and parts managers to enhance overall profitability.
  • Maintain asset reports for service centers including tolls, facilities, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Travel to Fleet Service Centers in NJ, IL, NC and FL as needed.


Director of Fleet Service Centers and Aftermarket Parts Required Education, Knowledge & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year university
  • 3-5-years' experience in leadership role.
  • 10 plus years Direct industry experience in Fleet Body Repair, Aftermarket Parts, and Inventory Management
  • Strong business acumen where deadlines are adhered to and met.
  • Strong Technical background, experience within industry segment of repair and reconditioning and aftermarket parts.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and independently.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Analytical skills to interpret complex data sets.
  • Strong Oral and written communication skills to train, coach, and collaborate with other staff.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills to direct the activities of other team members and provide effective coaching and training.
  • Proven knowledge of performance evaluation metrics in a business setting.


Director of Fleet Service Centers and Aftermarket Parts Supervisory Requirements:
  • Maintains staff of departments by recruiting, hiring, orienting, and training employees.
  • Develop employees in roles by coaching, mentoring, counseling, and disciplining employees.
  • Set performance goals and monitor employee productivity for achievement.
  • Maintain and approve timekeeping records.


Director of Fleet Service Centers and Aftermarket Parts Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to routinely sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear, use hands and fingers to keyboard, turn handles, feel, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, crawl, reach, and stretch.
  • The employee occasionally moves around the office and enters the manufacturing areas.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.


Work Environment:

Manufacturing work environment that has frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, noise intensity level, proximity to moving mechanical parts and exposure to weather. Light to Moderate noise (i.e., business office with computers, phone, printers, light traffic, and manufacturing noise from adjoining wall plant)

Ability to sit at a computer station for an extended period.
