JOB TITLE: Facilitator, Judy Center (12-Months) at Bedford Elementary
SCHEDULE: Full-time and Part-time positions available
REPORTS TO: Director, Early Childhood
DEFINITION: Coordinates, oversees, and facilitates all administrative and managerial aspects of the Judy Center programs and services. Ensures that all initiatives support the system-wide goals.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
Responsible for all administrative and managerial aspects of the Judy Center programs and services.
Communicates professionally between the school administration, the Office of Early Childhood, Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), other departments in the school system, and Judy Center partners.
Participates in writing the Judy Center grant.
Assists in the development and monitoring of the Judy Center budget.
Coordinates services, training and events for families in the community and participating partners.
Organizes and plans staff development and training opportunities for Judy Center staff and partners.
Facilitates outreach within the community and with partners serving the community.
Assists with the accreditation process of participating childcare partners and the school.
Monitors and evaluates Judy Center programming and events to determine alignment with the Judy Center standards.
Monitors the attainment of milestones and the progress of the program with in-person reports to the school principal and the steering committee.
Assists in evaluating the Family Services Case Manager.
Participates in statewide Judy Center trainings, meetings, and other activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training and Experience:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree, preferably in early childhood education. Five years of successful educational leadership experience, which included experience in early childhood education and service coordination.
Possession of a master's degree is preferred.
Licenses and Certificates:
Possession of a Maryland Educator Professional Certificate appropriate to the area of assignment.
OR
Possession of, or eligibility for, a Maryland Educator Professional License appropriate to the area of assignment.
Possession of a Maryland Educator Advanced Professional Certificate or Advanced Professional License is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of or training in Maryland State Department of Education or National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) validation or accreditation processes.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Skill and ability in monitoring, developing, and managing budgets.
Demonstration of strong knowledge and skill in computer/educational technology.
Demonstration of effective organization and communication skills.
Demonstration of strong human relations skills.
Ability to work independently with minimum oversight and demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy, and quality awareness.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
The work of this class is generally sedentary and performed in an office and school environment. Work includes the operation of office equipment, including personal computers, and occasional limited physical activities.

GRADE: TABCO 12-month pay scale
SALARY: $71,400 - $142,231
OTHER COMPENSATION: Position may be eligible for relocation bonus, extra duty activities pay, or other student activities pay as defined in the applicable Bargaining Unit Agreement.

RETIREMENT: Eligible for the Maryland State Retirement System.

Pre-Employment Requirements:
- All persons employed by the Baltimore County Public Schools, regular and temporary, are required to be fingerprinted and have a criminal background investigation (per COMAR) completed. The fee charged for fingerprinting is $109. An identification card will be issued which must be shown prior to employment.
- Anyone offered employment is required to provide proper identification and documentation of eligibility for employment in the US.
- If you have military experience, you will be asked to provide a copy of DD214.
- Official transcripts will be required upon hire and must be sent via escript/clearinghouse from your university.
