Chief Purpose of this position: We are seeking anenthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our dynamic Emergency Medicineteam as a full time Emergency Medicine physician at the VCU Health CMH Campus,which treats 26,000+ patients per year, and plans for level 3 traumadesignation in the near future. The successful candidate will contribute to ourmission of providing exceptional patient care in the rural community setting,with opportunities to engage in innovative research and high-quality educationin Emergency Medicine.

PositionResponsibilities:
- Clinical - Provide excellent clinical care by demonstrating proficiency in the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of a wide range of acute medical and traumatic conditions. Provide efficient, high quality patient care that reflects current professional practice norms and skills and is consistent with accepted utilization guidelines
- Education/Research - Participate in teaching/educational programs and research initiatives as desired
- Quality/Safety - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and promote patient safety and satisfaction
- Administrative - Contribute to administrative and leadership responsibilities within the department and hospital, as appropriate, fostering a positive work environment and supporting the growth of emergency medicine services
RequiredQualifications:
- Unrestricted Virginia Medical license or ability to qualify for one
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
