Gemma Power Systems is seeking a full-time Project Quality Manager to join our Quality team. We are looking for an individual with experience in managing the quality of work on simple-cycle, combined-cycle, or other large-scale thermal power projects.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide jobsite leadership and direction as it relates to all areas of quality at the project level.
- Assist the Project Superintendent and project team in adhering to and implementing all company quality policies.
- Assist in development and implementation of the project quality program.
- Attend and periodically lead project meetings involving quality aspects of the project.
- Coordinate with the Client, Project Team, Subcontractors, and Vendors on all quality issues.
- Review subcontractor submittals to ensure compliance with code, regulation, and subcontractor's scope of work.
- Hold preparatory meetings with subcontractors and all concerned parties, as needed, to define QC procedures within the scope of work.
- Conduct daily jobsite and work area inspections.
- Participate in internal and external site audits.
- Ensure, to the best of your abilities, that all materials, workmanship, and construction are in full compliance with the contract plans and specifications, along with local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
- Prepare and distribute written reports of progress, testing results, or observations, including any violations to the appropriate parties and follow up to ensure conditions have been addressed.
- Manage Non-Conformance Reporting process, including issuing, obtaining resolution, ensuring proper record submittal, and assisting in implementation of corrective actions.
- Establish a system for filing quality documentation consistent with corporate policies and procedures manual in order to be prepared to issue system turnover books at end of project.
- Manage the quality control organization, including all Quality Control Inspectors, testing subcontractors, and agencies.

Desired Experience and Qualifications
- 10+ years of construction quality experience, with a minimum of 5 years as a Quality Manager and a minimum of 5 years of experience related to power plant construction.
- CWI/SCWI certification required.
- In-depth knowledge of the quality code requirements for industrial construction.
- Broad understanding of all related engineering and construction disciplines (civil, electrical, piping, structural, mechanical, etc.) associated with large plant EPC projects.
- Experience working within a highly regulated environment with knowledge of power plant safety, quality, and technical codes.
- Knowledge and experience managing ASME code certification programs.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication, organization, multi-tasking, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
As this position is based on a project site, there are some physical requirements related to the work environment. Candidates must be willing & able to:
- Make frequent walks around the site
- Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, sit, climb (i.e. ladders), balance, and enter confined spaces
- Frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 24 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 50 pounds
- Wear safety-appropriate work boots at all times when on site, and PPE when necessary
