The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial integrity of accounting records, reconciliations, and disbursements for the company's multiple business entities. This role works closely with the VP of Accounting and Finance to ensure departmental support and alignment with the overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with financial statements, cash and balance sheet reconciliations, accounts payable processes and other related financial reports for all properties.
  • Adhere to confidentiality of financial information.
  • Monitor third-party billing and invoices from the company and restaurant locations.
  • Record transactions between multiple operational departments by importing and updating the general ledger system.
  • Manage complex accounting projects and initiatives, while coordinating with departments such as Procurement and Operations.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Review of annual lease maintenance, breakpoint, rent escalation, CAM, and property tax reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with departments within the corporate office to assist with financial inquiries.
  • File and renew the company's registrations and licenses for all restaurant locations.
  • Review and process payments for vendors.

Key Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of financial close, A/P and A/R accounting functions.
  • Proficiency with accounting software systems and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Able to effectively engage in both verbal and written communication.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of general accounting experience; experience in accounting practices within hospitality advantageous
  • Experience preparing financial statements and processing invoices

  • The individual must have sufficient physical mobility or agility to be able to respond quickly to fire or other emergencies.
  • Work in an environment that is of a moderate noise level, typical of an office environment with light to medium foot traffic.


Compensation & Rewards

Compensation:

The annual salary for this role is $80,000-$100,000
