In the role of CAD Manager, we'll count on you to:
Create designs independently under broad direction from the Project Engineer or Project Manager
Demonstrate extensive knowledge of BIM, design development, construction documents, technical and engineering knowledge
Provide first-level support for departments support software applications, networked client systems and procedures provide printer and printing support provide application and hardware setup and support department-specific application
Identify and initiate resolutions to client problems and concerns associated with office automation equipment, computer hardware and software
Coordinate the purchase, installation and implementation of office automation hardware and software according to department standards and procedure
Develop tools and procedures for daily operations support of LAN user
Complete projects with distinctive design features differing significantly from BIM Technician precedents as needed
Direct preparation of drawings by other BIM Technicians of lesser experience, or take responsibility for direct supervision of BIM staff as needed
Work with client or contractor representatives as needed
Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications
A minimum of 10 years experience preferred
Previous experience working on rail and transportation projects preferred
Preference given to local candidate

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Technical degree or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • A minimum of 5 years digital design (BIM element authoring) and 5 years digital delivery (model management) experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of all discipline relations and operations of building systems
  • Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructure
  • Advanced skillset of 3D Coordination tools
  • Advanced skillset of Microsoft Office products and communication tools
  • Familiar with industry standards and practices, along with discipline codes and specifications
  • Familiar with basic automation and programming applications for efficiencies
  • Familiar with 3D design software add-ins and supporting applications
  • Familiar with content creation and management concepts
  • Superior client service, communication, and presentation skills are essential
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively serve as a first line of technical support
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and leadership traits are essential
  • Must have strong organizational skills to establish priorities between technical support requests and project work
  • Must be enthusiastic, energetic, and an excellent work ethic
