We are seeking an Operations Manager / Site Leader guide daily operations for an Anderson-Negele Site in Spartanburg, SC. This role will also be responsible for directing the activities of a multi-functional operations' team in pursuit of world class customer service as measured by Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity, Cost & Continuous Improvement. Primary responsibilities include leading exempt and hourly associates in the production of Anderson-Negele products.
The span of leadership for this role will include all aspects of manufacturing as well as leading safety, environmental compliance, productivity improvements, and operating cost improvement initiatives. You will also be responsible for recruiting, developing and promoting excellent associates.

We are seeking an Operations Manager / Site Leader guide daily operations for an Anderson-Negele Site in Spartanburg, SC. RESPONSIBILITES:
- Leads production teams in meeting site objectives through the use of the Fortive Business Systems (FBS).
- Audits standard work for kaizen opportunities. Develops data-driven action plans to remove barriers to success, while improving standard work to ensure sustainability.
- Monitors weekly and daily production plans to maintain greater than 95% fill rate to customer request.
- Collaborates & facilitates Site Priorities with the Supply Chain organization to maximize the effectiveness of Dynamic Kanban, while improving inventory turns by 20% per year.
- Develops and monitors monthly operating budgets.
- Embraces Job Banding to ensure area associates are cross trained to maximize operation through appropriate training in order to provide maximum agility to Operations, while also providing career development for our team members.
- Evaluates associate's performance and conducts review. Recommends hiring and termination. Coaches, trains, and counsels' associates to improve performance.
- Works closely with operators, planners, customer service, engineers, marketing and finance to deliver on key objectives.
QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or other related fields. MBA preferred.
- 8+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment - operations, purchasing, materials, and/or engineering.
- Must be able to work in a multi-cultural organization covering a diverse set of education and experiences from junior to the most senior level in the organization. Must be able to lead without title.
- As the Site Leader, no one knows best the priorities of the site and customer-base. As a result, the Site Leader must have the ability to lead through intrinsic value & motivation.
- Must have a proven capability to motivate, influence, lead & manage change.
- 3-5 years of operations/production leadership in a lean manufacturing environment.
- Materials management experience required.
- Experience using lean systems or six sigma processes in a manufacturing environment required.
- Experience in low-volume/high-mix production as well as build-to-order, preferred.
- Experience in low-cost region sourcing and manufacturing preferred.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to influence others, deliver results, make an immediate impact, and manage by fact.
Work location and environment:
- Spartanburg, SC,
- Vertically integrated manufacturing environment, including machining, welding, printed circuit board assembly (SMT with automated pick-and-place equipment), final assembly and test. Occasional exposure to heat and noise. Safety glasses required.
