INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY BUSINESS PARTNER
Overview & Position Objective:
The IT Business Partners (ITBPs) have the overall responsibility of closely managing business relationships between A&M business units and Corporate IT. This role is part of a global team but will be focused on business units primarily within the US and the UK. The goal is to build a strong understanding of the business units within these geographical areas inclusive of teams, business models, processes, business success drivers, clients, engagements, and technology. The goal is to increase efficiency, improve effectiveness and create competitive advantage by introducing new or improving our existing technology services and solutions. ITBPs will create and maintain bidirectional communication channels and collaboration at various levels within the business units. The ITBP will convey priorities and relevant IT project information, share knowledge of technology-related services, opportunities, risks, and/or impacts, align business and IT goals, and execute against common objectives. Additionally, the ITBP will work together with other corporate departments such as Human Resources, Marketing, Security, or other IT subdivisions such as HRIS, IT Support, Engineering, and/or Project Management to ensure enhanced collaboration and engagement with A&M business units to drive success through genuine partnership.

A successful candidate will not only have outstanding leadership skills, but also exceptional interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills coupled with knowledge of various technology platforms and solutions ranging from conceptual understanding to strong technical comprehension. IT Business Partners provide crucial advice for the successful execution of business initiatives using technology. Moreover, a strong ITBP must have:

- Develop a personalized, value-added service with demonstration of willingness to understand the needs of business units, deliver trusted advisement, products and services that best enable our business units in supporting our client's needs.
- Proactively solicit, evaluate, and communicate feedback from business units to enhance services.
- Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to efficiently and cost-effectively deliver systems and solutions that address business needs and challenges, thereby advancing the goals of assigned business units and wider A&M.
- Evaluate the current technology landscape to detect critical deficiencies, both technical and non-technical and recommend and implement solutions that continually enhance the experience and effectiveness of A&M business teams.
- Work on complex business challenges and provide highly innovative solutions by leveraging domain expertise and business intelligence to facilitate quality decision making.
- Engage and contribute actively to all project phases, from concept and planning through development, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Assist in creating and implementing change management strategies, awareness campaigns, UAT programs and plans to maximize user adoption and proficiency.
- Collaborate with Project Management and other IT teams to communicate progress, assist in prioritization, and provide leadership and oversight for ongoing projects, current business unit and IT initiatives, as well as major issues affecting A&M and business units.
- Develop and distribute various targeted business communications, share IT knowledge, risks and contingency plans with business units and other corporate teams. Share insights and feedback from our business units with our teams.
- Share technology and business best practices across A&M through relationships with stakeholders, operations management teams and 'on the line' team members collaborating directly with our clients.
- Contribute to the continuous development of the IT Business Partnering framework and journey map. Grow Business Relationship Management (BRM) knowledge, gain certification and engage in continuous professional development (CPD).
- Proactively partner across business units to drive ongoing adoption and implementation of technology and identify opportunities for business process improvement.

- Knowledge and/or experience with artificial intelligence (AI) platforms is desirable
- Experience: 5+ years of direct experience in IT and business relationship/partnership roles.
- Education: Requires a bachelor's degree in related area.
- Certification: Business Relationship Management Professional (BRMP) certification or Certified Business Relationship Management (CBRM) is desirable.
