Advertised Job Summary
The Management Department in the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina invites applications and nominations for a professional track position with teaching and interests that complement the Department's existing areas of emphasis. Job focus would be on revising the existing undergraduate HR major and integrating a new leadership major with the undergraduate HR and entrepreneurship majors along with the Master of HR program. The job represents a full-time, multi-year academic appointment that is renewable, commencing in January 2025. All faculty searches are subject to the availability of funding.
The Darla Moore School of Business provides a vibrant, highly supportive, and diverse teaching and research environment. The school is housed in a new, state of the art facility that offers an attractive balance of natural beauty and technological innovation. The Management Department ( https://sc.edu/study/colleges_schools/moore/study/management/index.php ) contains a highly productive and collaborative group of scholars with expertise in human resources, organizational behavior, strategic management, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Opportunities are present to connect with leading companies and executives through four centers housed in the Management Department: the Riegel and Emory Center for HR Research, the Center for Executive Succession, the Faber Entrepreneurship Center, and the Smartstate Center for Innovation + Commercialization. Appointment at the clinical rank requires a doctorate degree in Management, Leadership or related field from an accredited institution.

- Track record managing HR or other student-based academic programs
- Superior teaching skills with demonstrated excellence teaching management courses

- Ability to proactively develop curriculum and pedagogical innovations
