IT Project Manager will be part of the IT organization and will be responsible for conducting, planning, and implementing various technical projects. The IT Project Manager leads the project team throughout the project's life, holds the team accountable for delivering on the plan, and works to resolve any obstacles that they face. The Project Manager is on the alert for risks to project success, working with the team to resolve issues when possible or identifying solutions for the IT Sponsor to choose from when problems cannot be resolved without significant modification to the plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
  • Oversee all aspects of any project in a company's IT department, which includes managing a team of employees to ensure projects are completed on time and within their specified budgets
  • Setting project goals and coming up with plans to meet those goals
  • Maintaining project timeframes, budgeting estimates and status reports
  • Managing resources for projects, such as computer equipment and employees
  • Coordinating project team members and developing schedules and individual responsibilities
  • Implementing IT strategies that deliver projects on schedule and within budget
  • Using project management tools to track project performance and schedule adherence
  • Conducting risk assessments for projects
  • Conduct requirement gathering on projects
  • Organizing meetings to discuss project goals and progress
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, ensuring technical feasibility
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Monitor project progress by tracking activities, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending actions
  • Validate resource requirements and develop cost estimate models
  • Assume responsibility for project tasks and ensure they are completed in a timely fashion
  • Maintain and report project plan to stakeholders and executive team
  • Maintain organizational effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies
  • Partner with IT managers to ensure each project meets a specific need and resolves successfully


EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
  • 7 to 9 years of experience in IT Project Management
  • Experience with PMP or similar certification with a good understanding of project management and methodologies such as Waterfall or Agile
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Solid decision making and prioritization skills
  • Good understanding of budgeting, estimation, and project financial management. Understanding of simple financial treatment for projects (Capital and Expense treatments)
  • Experience in working in a shared resource environment
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project or equivalent
  • Experience in delivering Infrastructure projects

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • License / Registration / Certification: PMP / SCRUM

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Project
  • A history of leading and supporting successful IT projects
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
  • Understanding of industry regulations is a plus (HITECH/HIPAA, PCI, SOX, FFIEC)

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Excellent written and oral English communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in change control methodology with an ability to provide clear technical documentation supporting change


Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
40 hours per week.
