ABOUT THE JOB

The Tepa Companies are seeking a Payroll Manager who will be responsible for timely and accurate payment of all Tepa employees. The payroll Manager will compile and process payroll information, manage payroll preparation, complete reports, maintain records, and other payroll-related tasks as necessary or requested.

Job Functions:
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including collecting, calculating and inputting payroll data for all employees.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies while processing payroll.
  • Administer and maintain payroll systems, ensure data integrity, and implement system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to gather and validate payroll information, such as new hires, terminations, promotions and salary changes.
  • Monitor and resolve payroll discrepancies, investigating and resolving issues promptly and accurately.
  • Generate payroll reports, including tax filings, benefits deductions, and other required reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Address employee inquiries and concerns related to payroll, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Maintain confidentiality and data security standards for all payroll-related information.
  • Stay updated on payroll regulations, Native American tax laws, and industry trends, implementing necessary changes to ensure compliance and best practices.


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • 10+ years of payroll experience required
  • Experience with acquisitions and conversions
  • ADP Experience (Workforce Now preferred)
  • Multi-state and multi-entity payroll experience
  • Systems oriented with the ability to learn and understand system requirements and relationships
  • Clear understanding of payroll regulations and compliance, including federal, state and local wage and hour policies, employment tax laws, Davis Bacon Act and Related Acts, and Prevailing Wage regulations
  • Excellent written & oral communication and strong relationship building skills required.
  • Detail oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong computer skills including use of MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook), with a willingness to learn new software programs.
