Traveling Nanny/Family Assistant

A busy family in the entertainment industry is seeking a highly flexible, travel-ready nanny for their infant (4-month-old). The ideal candidate is experienced with international travel, comfortable providing 24-hour care when needed, and able to adjust to changing environments and schedules. The family is willing to consider a single nanny who can accompany them throughout their travels or multiple nannies for different phases of the engagement (London, NYC, Dublin). However, they prefer to find a New York-based nanny who can fly with them overseas to provide seamless continuity of care.

Locations & Schedule:

• London: Approximately December 31 - January 7 (with flexibility on exact start/end dates; potential departure as early as December 30 or January 1). Ideally, the nanny will meet and work with the family in New York a few days prior to departure (around December 27).
• New York City: January 8 through early March (exact end date TBD).
• Dublin: Early March through approximately May (exact dates TBD).

Key Responsibilities:

• International Travel Care:
  • Accompany the family on flights between New York, London, and Dublin (business class seat provided).
  • Provide full-time, round-the-clock care for the baby while abroad, ensuring the child's comfort and safety during travel and stays in various accommodations.
• London Assignment (Approx. Dec 31 - Jan 7):
  • Potentially stay with the family in a hotel (a private room will be provided).
  • Offer 24-hour care, including overnight care, particularly if a parent is working night shoots.
  • Accompany the baby to the work location when possible and return home with the baby at bedtime if needed.
• New York Assignment (Jan 8 - Early March):
  • Provide daily care from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, seven days a week.
  • The family may consider adjusting the schedule to fewer days per week (5-6 days) if necessary.
  • Work closely with the family's routine and adapt as they refine their needs over time.
• Dublin Assignment (Early March - May):
  • Provide 24-hour care in a likely house setting, with your own private room.
  • Accompany the baby to work settings as needed and ensure a nurturing, safe environment.
  • Assist with daily routines, bedtime, and any overnight care if the parent works night shoots.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Extensive professional nanny experience, including experience with infants.
• Ability to travel internationally with a valid passport.
• Flexibility to adapt to different schedules, time zones, and environments.
• A calm, resourceful demeanor capable of handling unexpected changes.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with parents and potential co-nannies.
• Ability to provide references and pass a full background check.
• Willingness to work closely with the family's evolving needs, including possible adjustments to schedule and coverage.

Compensation & Details:

• Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications. ($35- $40 an hour or open to a day rate of $400- $450 a day)
• All travel arrangements and accommodations the family provides, including a private room while abroad.
• Business class flights for international travel segments.
• Potential for long-term engagement, with specific dates to be determined based on production schedules.
