Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Project Manager: Key Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you will be an integral part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team. This role requires a proactive approach and a strong ability to manage complex projects, ensuring they meet all defined objectives and deliverables.

Your primary tasks will include:

Scope Definition and RFP Management: Define the overall project scope and establish detailed Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to obtain proposals from necessary consultants, including engineering, construction, cost estimations, and equipment vendors.

Team Organization and Management: Effectively organize and manage multi-disciplined project teams to ensure the successful completion of all project deliverables.

Milestone and Cost Management: Manage major project milestones, schedules, and monthly cost plans to keep the project on track.

Stakeholder Communication: Provide periodic project status updates to internal and external stakeholders, including risks/mitigations, financial updates, and short/long-term project outlooks.

Change Control Management: Oversee project change control to ensure the project remains within the defined scope, budget, and schedule.

Lifecycle Alignment: Ensure all facets of the project lifecycle align with expectations set forth by the steering group and/or project owner, including installation, troubleshooting, qualification, and validation of equipment.

Additional Responsibilities

Client Partnership: Execute projects in partnership with the Client, spending a majority of your time onsite with your team.

Value Creation: Apply your business mindset to understand how to create value for pharmaceutical companies and support your customer.

Innovation: Always be on the lookout for new ways to create value for our customers.

Collaboration: Deliver great value to our customers through collaboration with companies offering complementary services/products.

Leadership: Lead people and drive team performance.

Project Execution: Utilize your experience in planning and executing projects from concept to design, construction, verification, and handover.

The Miles You've Walked

To apply for the position, there are some things that are needed, and others are a bonus. We believe these qualifications are needed for you to do well in this role:
  • B.S. or M.S. in a Technical Discipline or Business Management.
  • 8 years of practical experience managing complex projects with a minimum of 6 years managing projects in the pharma industry.
  • Experience managing mid to large multi-discipline design projects (TIC 50 to 300 million) including timeline and resource oversight.
  • Knowledge of core work processes and GMP concepts.
  • Basic understanding of contractual documents and the ability to read/review design drawings (CAD) with a basic understanding of P&ID, HVAC, and electrical systems.
  • PMP or similar certification is considered a bonus.
