Job Summary
The Manager on Duty is responsible for oversight of UGE's operational performance and employee group while supporting a safe, caring, dependable and efficient work environment. The Manager on Duty will ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and compliance standards established by United Ground Express, United Airlines, and any regulatory authorities.

Based on experience and competency, you may be assigned a more specific scope of work, of which you will have primary oversight. The four scopes include, but are not limited to:
Quality Control - Support Sr. Supervisor/QC Tech, ATA103 GSE Inspections, Records Maintenance, Audit Support Training - Support Sr. Supervisor/Qualified Instructor, Training Compliance oversight, Support OJT Leads Safety/Compliance - Recurrent Safety Audits, Recurrent Safety Meetings, Environmental Awareness/HazMat Waste Control EE Skd / Hiring - Bid Schedule Budget & Timeline, Hiring Strategy, On-Boarding Support/Scheduling

Compensation Information
Base salary range: $78,000 - $90,000 (L5) annually
Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for building and maintaining a positive work environment, strong employee relations, and collaborative relationships among the management and union represented employee base
- Responsible for operational compliance, audits, financial reporting and budgeting
- Provides coaching and direction to achieve or exceed performance and quality standards
- Provides oversight to the scheduling and monitoring of employees to ensure proper staffing levels to achieve or exceed performance goals
- Ensure all employees are properly trained and understand their assigned duties
- Ensures the assigned location operates in a safe, caring dependable and efficient manner at all times
- Ensure all injuries, incidents, accidents, and/or customer service issues are properly documented and corrected
- Comply with all safety, security, and customer service quality standards and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills
Required
- College Degree of equivalent work experience required
- Ability to manage hub-level into-plane fueling operations independently (approx. 250-300 departures/day)
- Demonstrates a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or irregular operations
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced operational environment
- Analytical thinking, goal-directed leadership, and service-oriented performance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and drive for excellence
- Organization and planning skills
- Must possess and maintain a valid US state driver's license. (Suspended, expired, revoked or denied licenses are not valid.)
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and coach others
- Flexible schedule availability to provide oversight to a 24 hour per day 7 days per week operation including weekends and holidays
- Proficient with MS Office applications

- Ability to operate a computer to enter and retrieve data
- Requires ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 70lbs on a consistent basis
- Ability to pass all pre-screening clearances applicable to position qualifications
