About Your Work

A Project Manager II manages all aspects of small to large scale projects, from start to finish, so they are completed on time and within budget. Design, communicate, and implement an operational plan for completing a project; monitor progress and performance against the project plan; resolve operational problems, minimize delays. In this role, you will identify, develop, and gather necessary resources to complete the project. Prepare designs and work specifications; develop schedules, budgets and forecasts; select materials, equipment, project staff, and contractors. Estimate costs, resources, and time required to complete. Monitor activities, allocate resources, and assign tasks to ensure targets are met. Liaise with other areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project. Conduct project meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team.

You will focus on:
  • Scheduling for various integrated project plans.
  • Develop new processes or manage small projects as needed by the executive sponsor to facilitate delivery of the project (e.g. vendor and resource management processes).
  • Assist with rescheduling, change management, and resource allocation in the project plan.
  • Examine project documentation/data for completeness and accuracy.
  • Support resource managers in tactical application of tools and reports.
  • Manage project tracking.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Skills, Experience & Education You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years experience in project management.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and an understanding of project management tools and approaches.
  • Skilled in time management to facilitate involvement in multiple projects.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in creating and managing project plans, as well as providing and meeting time estimates for assigned tasks.
  • Must be highly adaptable to changing and challenging situations.
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills.
  • PMP or similar project management certification.

Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements. The anticipated pay range for this role is listed in our salary posting for transparency but may vary based on factors including the candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and geographic location. This base pay range is specific to California and can vary based on Bay Area, Metro LA, and Greater California regions which may not be applicable to other locations.

Physical Requirements: Office Environment - roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork - Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of workday.
