Business Risk & Insuranceteam is looking for an experienced finance/ insurance professional who is passionate aboutanalyzing business risk, is data driven, enjoys working through challenging business scenarios,andcandeliverinsights to drive timely decision making and s upportMicrosoftrisk framework.You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment in a truly global role.This role is a solution-oriented position, with a need for sound judgment to select methods and techniques for risk mitigation.
The Business Risk & InsuranceGroup Manager will support seniorbusiness risk team members and will collaborate with external insurance brokers to provide an effectiverisk mitigation evaluation framework.The Risk Manager oversees technical contract reviews and program risk assessments and ensure s appropriate insurance placement for Microsoft. The Risk Manager will work closely with the Director of Business Risk & Insurance in managing insurance programs and staying up-to-date with emerging risks . Th is position is a critical leader within the team charged with assessing, developing,and monitoring Microsoft's insurance program s and partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure their success .

Responsibilities:
- Develops comprehensive strategic plan and framework to effectively manage and mitigate corporate risks.
- Participates with outside counsel in mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution
- Works with Legal, insurance brokers and insurance companies in the selection of outside counsel for representation
- Develops policies and procedures relating to claims reporting and handling in conjunction with internal stakeholders
- Leads a wide range of claims investigation and management, insurance, loss/exposure, policies and procedures and other matters.
- Partners with internal stakeholders to develop risk transfer programswith a compliance focus
- Develop s risk renewal strategies and insurance program structures that align with organization's risk tolerance, which include captives, self-insurance, risk transfer, and other methods
- Directs insurance placement and policy review, overseeing activities of the insurance broker, ensuring timely delivery of expected deliverables and outcomes
- In collaboration with Director of Business Risk & Insurance and additional internal stakeholders, performs analysis to quantify financial impacts of existing and emerging risk exposures, recommending actions for mitigation through insurance as appropriate
- Utilize s and develop s analytics, including benchmarking and other metrics, to evaluate loss trends, working with insurance brokers to understand the total cost of risk
- Drives relationships with stakeholders for assigned insurance programs and setting innovative strategies and supports related claims management
- Participates inMergers and Acquisitions (M&A) transactions, aiding M&A team with review of integration plans from an insurance perspective
- Manage s and evaluate s policy-term changes in risk and exposure, coordinating with other Risk Manager s , Director of Business Risk & Insurance , and other stakeholders as needed
- Ensure s effective documentation of all related policies, processes and governance ismaintained

Qualifications:
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in Corporate Risk Management including claim handling.
- OR Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in Corporate Risk Management including claim handling.
- OR equivalent experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Corporate Risk Management including claim handling or related field AND 12+ years experience in Corporate Risk Management including claim handling.
- OR Master's Degree in Corporate Risk Management including claim handling AND 8+ years experience in Corporate Risk Management including claim handling.
- OR equivalent experience.
- Prior experience developing comprehensive strategic plan and framework.
- Proficient problem solving, analytical, communication and project management skills , as this position will have responsibility for complex projects where the ability to influence others will be essential.
- Technology savvy and a bility to bring together teams across the company and lead through influence and inclusion.
- Growth mindset and quick learner, agility in responding to new business challenges balanced with compliance focus.
