Nurse Manager - Operating Room
Modesto, California
Full Time
This is a full-time, regular employee position with a day shift schedule. Standard workdays are Monday through Friday, with on-call responsibilities on weekends.
Working hours are typically 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This is an onsite position.
Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of nurses and support staff in the Operating Room.
Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient and effective workflow.
Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care.
Manage resources, staffing, and scheduling.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
Promote continuous improvement and professional development.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse License (California) (Required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Required)
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Master's Degree in Nursing (earned through a direct entry MSN program) (Required)
Minimum four (4) years of clinical nursing experience related to clinical area of specialization as required by department, including four (4) years of management, supervisory or leadership* experience.
Knowledge of Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and other applicable regulations (Required)
Strong interpersonal communication skills (Required)
Preferred Qualifications:
Two (2) years of management experience in an Operating Room
One (1) year of Magnet/shared governance experience
One (1) year of managing in a bargaining environment
Master's degree
5 years of recent experience managing/supervising the Main OR within the last 7 years
CLS or PALS certification
