The Manager, People & Culture (HR-Operations Manager) will provide guidance while managing staff and the operational aspects of the People & Culture department including Compensation and Benefits Administration, Employee Relations, Workplace Diversity, Talent Acquisition, ADA and outsourced Leave Administration, HR Policy Administration, Compliance, HRIS Workforce Analytics and Reporting. The Manager will be responsible for administering P&C operations according to budget/plan and performing routine vendor management processes. The Manager will lead the implementation of operational projects, programs and process improvements that support business plans, enhance service, efficiency, and best practices.
The Manager, P&C works in collaboration with the Organizational Development team to align HR programs with Employee Engagement, Talent Development, Organizational Design and Change Management.

The Manager, P&C works in collaboration with the Organizational Development team to align HR programs with Employee Engagement, Talent Development, Organizational Design and Change Management.
The Manager, P&C will:
- Manage compensation and benefit functions according to total compensation philosophy, policy, regulations, and budget. Manage employee relations functions, and advise management consistent with organizational culture and values, policy, and regulatory requirements. Manage recruitment and staffing functions according to plan and budget. Assist team with resolution of complex questions, concerns, and issues. Manage vendors, systems, budgets, contract review, and internal and external partnerships to implement and administer programs that meet the changing needs of the organization and workforce.
- Partner with CHRO to recommend, implement, and administer Workplace Diversity aspects of the credit union's overall Diversity Roadmap and annual DEI Action Plans. Co-chair the Employee DEI Committee and provide input to the Executive DEI Steering Committee. Administer the Employee Resource Group program according to established ERG Guidelines, provide ongoing coaching, support and resources to ERG leaders and Executive Sponsors. Maintain current knowledge of the evolving landscape of DEI to help foster a diverse, inclusive, and equitable experience for employees throughout their careers with the credit union.
- Ensure compliance with employment, benefits, wage and hour, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements. Maintains current knowledge of industry trends, legislation, and best practices in all areas of oversight. Monitor internal trends and utilize workforce analytics to recommend changes that will help the organization recruit and retain its target workforce and continuously improve all HR functions. Help to develop and maintain a vision for the credit union's human resources functions.
- In partnership with CHRO, create and implement department budget and contribute to the budgeting process for the corporate compensation and benefits budget. Assists CHRO with the ongoing administration of executive compensation, benefits, and retention plans. Carry out assigned duties related to HR components of corporate programs such as Business Continuity, Expense Management, Vendor Management, Corporate Projects, Connections reporting, Regulatory Exam information requests, Internal Audits, and special work groups.
- Hire and develop direct reports consistent with Unitus' values, culture, and people management policies. Provide coaching and feedback to direct reports as appropriate. Partner with People and Culture and management on employee matters as appropriate.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field such as Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience requirements. Advanced degree preferred.
- Six years of progressively responsible human resources management experience required, with at least 5 years managing two or more HR functions. DEI program management preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of EEO and other regulations pertaining to functional areas managed.
- At least four years of experience managing direct reports.
- SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR preferred.
- Financial services experience preferred.
