General Function:
Creates the solution and appropriate cost/price models needed to deliver the requirements outlined in an RFP, and manages timely and complete bid delivery. Coordinates and collaborates with various departments such as sales, legal, finance, and technical groups. May serve as a project manager and follow bid projects from initiation through delivery and implementation. Ensures the delivery of project plan for the implementation of client requirements Manages risk management tasks; develops plans for overcoming problems. Maintains a positive and productive relationship with clients.

- Review inventory of the current production infrastructure using automated tools or customer supplied information.
- Identify currently owned software assets, discuss projected growth rates, and review current storage change control procedures.
- Interface with clients relative to internal audit methods, product needs -- make recommendations.
- Identify short-term and long-term target storage architectures, make recommendations.
- Work with customer to communicate and track system dependencies.
- Install and configure vendor hardware and software products across a variety of host environments.
- Configure complex software implementations with customized criteria tailored for the specific customer's environment.
- Perform knowledge transfer and training for customer.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Minimum Experience: 5-7 years.
- Proficiency with a combination of software products and expert proficiency with multiple operating systems.
- Skills and Experience in producing design including requirements discovery and analysis, formulation of solution context, identification of solution alternatives and their assessment, technology selection, and design configuration.
- Extensive technical breadth, through experience in the IT industry. This breadth should be in areas of application development and deployment, and in the areas of creation and maintenance of the infrastructure to support the complex application environment.
- Method-Driven approach to execution through the consistent use of recognized design methods. Must have working knowledge of more than one design method and be comfortable deploying parts of methods appropriate to the situation in which s/he is working.
- Full project scope experience with all aspects of a project from design through development, testing, implementation, and production.
- Ability to successfully describe and communicate issues, ability to directly interface with the customer and the ability to call and lead meetings.
- Strong verbal skills.
- Strong written skills.
- Ability to work effectively across teams and disciplines within the organization.
