Salary: $134,692 - $200,000 (2024-2025 salary schedule)

Description:
A Director of Student Achievement and Professional Development position is anticipated for the 2025-2026 school year.

Job Function:
The Director of Student Acheivement and Professional Development performs a variety of leadership roles, including the primary responsibilities of assessing system-wide staff development needs, establishing specific goals, developing training programs to meet the intended outcomes, and evaluating the effectiveness of school and district programs. In addition, to collaborate as a member of the Student Achievement leadership team to support the innovation and advancement of district instructional, programming and strategic planning efforts.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Education Administration with demonstrated course work and/or experience in curriculum development and instruction required
  • Colorado Department of Education Principal or Administrator license required
  • Minimum of three years of experience in school/district administration and professional development required.
  • Experience as school assistant principal or principal preferred.
  • Experience with post-secondary workforce readiness, concurrent enrollment, pathways, and internships preferred.
  • Experience with special populations preferred.
  • Experience with educating military-connected families preferred

Fountain-Fort Carson School District Eight spans an area of approximately 150 square miles. The city of Fountain, Fort Carson Military Installation, Rock Creek Township, and several surrounding rural areas all fall within the District parameters. Fountain-Fort Carson School District Eight has experienced consistent growth.

Fountain-Fort Carson School District Eight includes eight elementary schools, two dedicated preschools, and several preschool programs located within the district. Four of the elementary schools and a preschool are located in the city of Fountain (Aragon, Jordahl, Mesa, Eagleside Elementary schools, and Conrad Early Learning Center) while the other four elementary schools (Abrams, Patriot, Mountainside, and Weikel Elementary and Weikel Preschool) are located on Fort Carson. The district has two middle schools. Fountain Middle School is located in the city of Fountain and Carson Middle School is located on Fort Carson. The district's two high schools, Fountain-Fort Carson High School and Welte Education Center, are both located in the city of Fountain.
