About you

You are an experienced event manager with a passion for cybersecurity, proven by your direct involvement in industry events like RSA and Black Hat. With at least 3 years of experience in marketing event management, you have honed your skills in negotiating with vendors and have a solid track record of executing successful events within budget. You possess strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills, and you are willing to travel up to 40% of the time, including to international destinations, to make our events a success.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Plan, organize, and execute company events in the eastern half of North America, including conferences, trade shows, and internal events, ensuring they align with the company's objectives and brand image.
  • Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, vendor negotiation and management, catering, transportation, and accommodation arrangements for attendees.
  • Develop and manage budgets for each event, ensuring all activities are executed within financial constraints while maximizing the event's impact.
  • Coordinate with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure event messaging and content align with overall marketing strategies and goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, sponsors, and partners to ensure high-quality event experiences and explore opportunities for future collaboration.
  • Collaborate with the wider demand generation team on event promotion through various channels, including social media, email marketing, and direct invitations, to maximize attendance and engagement.
  • Manage the production of event materials, such as brochures, banners, and promotional merchandise, ensuring they meet brand standards and event objectives.
  • Monitor and report on the success of events, providing insights and recommendations for future improvements based on attendee feedback and event outcomes.
  • Manage logistics for team attendance at external events, including travel arrangements, registrations, and material shipments.
  • Up to 40% travel required to manage on-site event execution and vendor relations across different locations.
What You Bring to the Table
  • East-coast based, preferably near Boston or New York City
  • Cybersecurity experience preferred. Candidates with experience organizing RSA, Black Hat, or other cybersecurity industry events will be prioritized.
  • At least 3 years of direct experience with planning, executing, and managing marketing events, including trade shows, conferences, and customer events.
  • Proven track record of successful vendor management and negotiation.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in managing budgets, with a proven ability to deliver events and marketing campaigns within allocated financial resources.
  • Ability to travel. Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time to manage and attend events, including international travel if necessary.
